Welcome to Blackwater CP School

Blackwater School was built in 1877 and serves the village of Blackwater and surrounding
countryside hamlets.

The school comprises one Infant Classroom and two Junior Classrooms, hall, kitchen, ICT suite, library, SEN room and various offices and resource areas. There is a large sports field and adventure play area.

Adjoining the field is a wild area, used for environmental and scientific education, together      with small plots and a greenhouse where our children are encouraged to grow vegetables
and flowers.

Blackwater is a small rural village situated in the parish of St. Agnes between Truro (6miles) and Redruth (4miles) and close to the north coast and its sandy beaches (3 miles).

A Foundation Unit is incorporated within the school for children aged 3-5 years. On Monday,  Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday mornings from 9.00 a.m. to 12.00 noon with the option for children to stay for lunch until 1.00 p.m. The Foundation Unit eases the transition between Early Years and the first year of school. Our children get to know school staff really well and are given excellent educational activities.

Blackwater CP School has also achieved Healthy School Accredtation.
