Welcome to Blackwater CP School

Blackwater School was built in 1877 and serves the village of Blackwater and surrounding countryside hamlets.

The school comprises a nursery which caters for children from 3 years old and runs between 8.45 - 1.15 daily. We also have 2 infant classes and 2 junior classes, all staffed by caring, outstanding practitioners. In total, we have around 120 children. Our outside space is stunning- we have a large playground, huge field, a wild area and an outside classroom. All of our ICT equipment is wireless and mobile and we run both Apple and Windows platforms. Please feel free to come and see our lovely school and it's fantastic children.

Blackwater is a small rural village situated in the parish of St. Agnes between Truro (6miles) and Redruth (4miles) and close to the north coast and its sandy beaches (3 miles).

A Foundation Unit is incorporated within the school for children aged 3-5 years. The Foundation Unit eases the transition between Early Years and the first year of school. Our children get to know school staff really well and are given excellent educational activities.

Blackwater CP School has also achieved Healthy School Accredtation.
